The error here is thinking that the conflict is 1:1 between Wagner and the Kremlin. Factions are already splintering, and while nobody doubts the Russians are highly nationalistic, that love does not necessarily extend to Putin. His inner circle loves the money trough which the rest of the country knows about but does not have access to. So, yeah. That is why nobody lifted a finger to stop Wagner until they were in the Moscow oblast. And that apathy should be a strong object lesson to the rest of the world. ______________________________ Don't pet the fluffy murder cow.

Yes, this thing was deeper than *JUST* Wagner. They couldn't have done as much as they did without the complicity of at least *SOME* of the regular Russian Army/Air Force. Jeff Nyquist surmises that this was the Russian military sending a message to Putin that they're sick of the war in Ukraine and they want to see an end to it. Wagner was just their particular tool to be used at this time. ______________________________________________________________ I am Brutus. Or, Lord Brutus if you prefer.

I think this is one of those events that we many never really understand, because so much of it took place in the heads of people who are never going to talk. Did Prigozhin have deals with with people who failed to deliver when the time came? Did he just assume that, if he got the ball rolling, others would join in? Did he just chicken out when the time came to hit Moscow? We did learn one important thing. If you want to get Putin to negotiate, hit him as hard as you can. And we had vividly illustrated another thing that we sort of already learned: the soft white underbelly of Russia is barely defended. Everyone that matters, other than the air force, is in Ukraine. States on the fringe have broken away before and you can bet that they were paying attention.

Not buying it. Russia just marched in backwards on Belarus.

I think a very telling thing is that there was so little apparent opposition to Wagner's movement toward Moscow. I can see if they had no regular army units in the right position to get aligned as a blocking force, but surely they had air force assets that could've carried out plenty of strikes on Wagner's column as it moved north. Also, did you notice that seemingly the only forces we saw making preparations in/near Moscow appeared to be police units? Even if they were heavily armed paramilitary type police, I don't think they could've done much to stop the Wagner forces that were headed their way. I think Putin started negotiating right quick like when it became apparent that he had very little backing from his own military. Just my speculation....... ______________________________________________________________ I am Brutus. Or, Lord Brutus if you prefer.

With the exception of Alaska's last comment I just have to laugh at these outlandish, insane comments on the aftermath of this supposed 'coup' in Russia. Rubbish! Prigozhin and Putin are BFF's going way back--ditto with the guy in charge in Belarus. Prigozhin's beef was with the top generals in charge of the Ukrainian military operation in that they are not waging the war aggressive enough. And this is Prigozhin's beef with Putin as well--in that he is not using the full force of Russian military might against the Ukrainians. Putin is letting the Ukrainians now throw all their western trained, western equipped men into literal pre-set death zones with this so-called "counter offensive" --which BTW has utterly failed in all respects (with losses of over 80,000 killed or wounded for the Ukrainian military--and the loss of over 1/2 of the western donated equipment and tanks... which easily went poof under the attacks from the Russian rotary units). So far in this war, Russia has completely destroyed 3 NATO trained and equipped Ukrainian armies. THEE WHOLE ARMIES. First by June of last year--the entire NATO trained/equipped military was destroyed with the majority of their NATO effectives (front line troops) killed or wounded and put out of action. Next, last fall--the same with all the western supplied equipment and foreign mercs who flooded into the country. And now, again with this counter offensive which is an unmitigated disaster. Total KIA or wounded for Ukraine so far is around 600,000. And speaking of this latest disaster--NATO came in and trained the latest batch of Ukrainian commanders beforehand on a battle field tactical simulations that had the Russian's set to 'retard' --and thus no matter how the Ukrainian's played and war-gammed the simulations, no matter how stupid their choices were, they always won. This was done intentionally to give them a false sense of ability and security so that they would charge headlong into the Russian lines--where they were wholesale decimated by the ATGMs and mine fields. And when they tried to retreat--they found themselves instantly stuck in freshly laid mine-fields (by mine laying artillery rockets that with one barrage can lay hundreds) and again savaged by the KA-52's and artillery. The counter offensive has not even been able to reach any of the main lines of Russian defense positions so far--and have only managed to push into the security skirmish zones where the KA-52's lay in wait 8 to 9 miles away at tree-top level unleashing devastating firepower out of range of the Ukrainians. You have to all realize just how President Putin is with the Russian peoples--in that he maintains a steady 80% approval rating with the Russian populations. The main criticism with Putin is that he has not as of yet CRUSHED Ukraine into dust with the full might of the Russian military. And he is intentionally not doing this as to not draw NATO forces into this war by waging a Genghis Kahn style onslaught against Ukraine--which BTW the vast majority of the Russian people would support. There has been for many weeks open talks on all the Russian info-talks shows about using nuclear weapons against Ukraine and NATO countries who are supplying weapons to Ukraine for use against Russia. Support is growing for this with the Russian peoples for this--despite knowing what would be the response from NATO and the USA. Get that last part into all your thick skulls. THEY DON'T GIVE A FUCK NOW. The factions vying in Russia against Putin are NOT AGAINST the war in Ukraine--they are against what they perceive as the pussy-footing around with Ukraine and the strategies employed thus far. They want to go full "Vlad The Impaler" against Ukraine and Russia currently has the means to do so currently as the NATO has strategically weakened themselves by emptying out their strategic reserves of high-tech weapons, tanks, etc. which are now mostly laying in the eastern fields of Ukraine as smoldering junk (especially the Bradley fighting vehicles, Leopard tanks and Strikers). Smoldering heaps of junk now surrounded by field of dead bodies as you would see in WWI no-man's-land. If you doubt what I am saying, I would invite you to look at this site and read the analysis and take a look at the videos... https://simplicius76.substack.com/ There's some pretty straight forward shit there. And if you don't believe me that the Russian people's would like to see a march into Kiev, replete with Ukrainian's crucified along the main highway leading into town--right out of the ending scene of "Sparticus." When Prigozhin was leaving Rostov with his Wagner fighters a couple nights ago--the crowds came out and he was treated like a rock-star. With people rushing to literally take selfies with the man. And as the Wagner's trucks rolled out of town they were greeted with applause and chants of "Wagner-Wagner!" If you don't believe me--take a look at the videos. Thus are the thought of the Russian peoples now. Jeff Nyquist (boy fool, who's head is still stuck in the 70's) is completely wrong with his assumptions as well when he claims that the Russian generals just "want an end to this war" --very misleading FYI... i8 reality they want their hands untied to go and fucking crush what now remains of Ukraine. They want the ability to carpet bomb Kiev and the rest of Ukraine's major cities into dust--that's what they want. The prevailing thought now is that Prigozhin played NATO into believing he would lead a coup and that the USA paid him 6 billion to pull if off--a ploy that lasted two days at $125,000,000 per hour cost to the US taxpayer. Do you now think it's any coincidence that Prigozhin is now in Belarus less than a hundred miles from Kiev? LOL! The Wagner forces now will soon be used as the spear-tip in a thrust of regular Russian forces into Ukraine west of Kiev to cut-off NATO supplies to the Ukrainian military Now Putin's hand will be forced to begin the Russian offensive sometime very, very soon--against a highly weakened Ukrainian military that has been disseminated in this counter offensive. Count upon that. And now NATO planners are shitting their pants. They are completely desperate and clutching at straws now. The talk of a Russian attack upon the massive nuclear plant (six reactors) at Zaporozhye (ZNPP) is the main-stay of all the phony Ukrainian propaganda outlets now--and all of it is assuredly false propaganda. Why would the Russians sabotage a nuclear plant that is under their direct control? Like they blew up their own pipeline I suppose? --and if you still believe this narrative you are a retarded zipper head. https://simplicius76.substack....ag-on-zaporozhye-npp What I suspect next is that Washington DC/NATO will stage a false-flag operation against the ZNPP in a desperate attempt to activate Article 5 of NATO by blaming Russia. This is where all the talk is now currently--just listen to Senator Boy-FAG's (Graham's) latest sound bytes with Senator Bluemthal. This is the real danger now. The desperation in DC and NATO is going to lead to some very bad outcomes--and with a US military unable to cope with a global war that would be over within 48 hours after it started. Most people out there (and here) don't have a fucking clue as to what is about to unfold.

https://kunstler.com/clusterfuck-nation/coup-coo/ CLUSTERFUCK NATION – BLOGJune 26, 2023 Coup Coo “At exactly the point of the AFU’s weakest moment and near-collapse on the battlefield he chose to strike Russia in the back as if obviously driven by a hidden hand.”— Simplicius on Substack Clusterfuck Nation For your reading pleasure Mondays and Fridays Support this blog by visiting Jim’s Patreon Page And thanks to all my Patrons for your support You’d think that the hapless DC neocons, Antony Blinken and his boss, Victoria Nuland, plus the gang at Spook Central, would have learned a lesson about the diminishing returns of color revolutions: namely, that these bold pranks blow back… and not in a good way. The New York Times informs us that US Intel was well aware weeks beforehand of the developing coup attempt by Yevgeny Prigozhin and his personal army, the Wagner Group. Congressional leaders were briefed a day prior to its roll-out. Well, golly, can you suppose for a New York minute that Russia’s intel agency didn’t know all about it, too? A vast array of explanations for this bizarre wartime vaudeville can be found in every corner of the Internet. I’ll go with this one: Prigozhin came to bethink himself a Napoleonic figure. Just as Bonaparte wowed revolution-weary France with his military exploits against her enemies, and seized leadership of the nation, Prigozhin’s mercenary army carried the brunt of the action in Ukraine this year, culminating in the heroic victory at Bakhmut. Priggy regarded the Russian Ministry of Defense as oafish, and by extension, his long-time friend and mentor, Vlad Putin, indecisive about it. The moment was ripe to seize power! As a recent US president might have said: he misoverestimated. It looks like the neocons, the CIA, and Britain’s MI6 did, too, if they helped nudge the event to fruition with assurances and cash — say, some of that $6.2 billion the Pentagon happened to find recently via an “accounting error.” What better time to destabilize Russia than during Ukraine’s vaunted spring offensive (which, let’s face it, was not going too well)? In fact, Ukraine’s whole NATO-assisted project from the get-go looked like a bust. The Bakhmut “meat-grinder” was just the latest fiasco. But then, the irascible, disgruntled, and grandiose field marshal Priggy seemed like the perfect instrument to jazz things up for the demoralized West. Pretty darn quick, on the road from Rostov-on-Don to Moscow, Priggy learned the hard way that he had no support in the government, the military, or among the Russian public. The coup fizzled before sundown the very day it started. Some say, any way you cut it, the result is Vlad Putin left looking weak and vulnerable. I don’t think so. His speech to the Russian people that day appeared, if anything, resolute. And the way he seemed to spit out the words “a stab in the back,” you couldn’t think he was play-acting. By evening, with the whole psychodrama concluded, the people of St. Petersburg crowded the quay along the Neva River and busted into patriotic song. Let’s address one nagging question: why did Mr. Putin allow the Wagner Group private army to play the leading role countering the Ukraine offensive? Answer: because he was saving and building-up the regular Russian army to strength in the further event that NATO might finally jump into Ukraine with all its multi-national feet when all else fails. We’re left, of course, with the manifold mysteries of the coup’s hasty resolution. Mr. Prigozhin, we’re told, will be turned over to the custody of the Belarus president Lukashenko, to… to be done what with? To be put on the shelf like a bowling trophy? I’m sure…. If they can even find the bugger now. (I’d look in Africa, where sundry Wagner units have been operating — Priggy must have had a plane standing by in Rostov.) In any case, we know the rest: Wagner troops who did not participate in the coup get folded into the regular army, and said regular army takes over duty along the front in Ukraine. Mr. Putin, despite all these insults, will continue to seek a diplomatic end to all this nonsense, and he might get it sooner rather than later. Germany and France, among Euro others, must be sick of these shenanigans. AND ESPECIALLY READ THE NEXT PARAGRAPH... Can Ukraine even carry on much longer? President Zelensky, the comedian, seems to have gone mad-dog now. He just cancelled next year’s election, which makes him… what? Dictator? So much for America’s democracy export program. He’s also issued warnings to the effect that Russia is about to blow up the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, Europe’s largest. Such an act would supposedly trigger direct intervention by NATO, according to the policy promoted by war-hawk US Senators Lindsey Graham and Richard Blumenthal. The nuclear plant is under Russian control. Mr. Zelensky says they have set mines in it. The scenario is pretty absurd. Nobody believes it. Of course, Mr. Zelensky might use some of his NATO missiles to zap it, but Russia has video surveillance and recording equipment at every angle around the joint and the world will know five seconds after how it was blown up. From his latest photographs, it looks like Mr. Zelensky is in the terminal throes of a cocaine rapture, and his actions are consistent with that state of mind. He must know that he’s not long for this world. And our country, the USA, must know that this Ukraine gambit is another lost cause on our long march of military misadventures. And if the government of our country doesn’t know, the people surely do. Have you noticed, the yellow-and-blue flags are not flying anymore? Even the most hardcore anti-Trump Democrats seem to understand what pounding sand down a rat-hole means when it comes to the many billions of dollars squandered on this stupid project while our cities rot and a whole lot more goes south in our own ailing homeland. Not to mention the parlous position of the American president himself, the spectral “Joe Biden,” skulking in his demon-haunted White House as evidence of his treasonous turpitudes mounts and mounts. Which leaves us to wonder whether our Intel Community may have stirred up the Russia coup as just another distraction from its own Biden-linked crimes against this nation.
