It's an office environment. 1,000 employees spread across several very blue large US cities. I was there 33 years. I know how company policies are made. The Covid policy is not based on anything to do with science and nothing to do with overall client service (or I would have been allowed to continue to work remotely). I'm certain it was to suck up to the Big Pharma/Healthcare clients and potential clients (to prove to them we were on board), being the companies that had to suck up to Fauci or risk losing their NIH funding. Every employee, vendor, client and other visitor must prove vaccination status before being allowed in the buildings. The only thing they eased up on was mandatory masks, sort of.

Curious development:

Something is happening at DH's workplace as more employees cave and get their 1st injection.

1. unvxxed employee briefly conversed with person that had gotten the shot 2 days prior. vxxed person stood at the office door, 10-12 feet away. A few hrs later unvxxed person experienced sudden intestinal distress that developed into a full-blown digestive/intestinal issue, such that it was near impossible to stray far from a restroom. The issue continued for 3 wks, unvxxed employee took 1 wk sick leave but still not fully recovered.

2. office techie had nearly identical encounter with a different employee who had gotten the 1st shot (again 2 days prior). That evening techie experienced same series of events, is now (5 days later) still out on sick leave. (and VERY pissed)

3. Friday another unvxxed employee had a very brief conversation (12-14 ft distance) with person that got the shot 1 day prior. Identical series of events followed, affected employee is now out on sick leave.

The 3 of them spoke with each other (by phone of course) and now are in a WTFkngFk frame of mind and mad as hell.

Coincidence? Contagious bug? vxxed shedding airborne spike protein?

Note that none of those employees have been sick since the beginning of the pLandemic. Unknown regarding any vxx reaction(s) with the recently vxxed peeps at this time.

They have a vaccine that doesn't work and authoritarian measures that have worked too well, so herd immunity in China is where we were 18 months ago. The dominant variant is less serious, but 1.4 billion people and limited care facilities still adds up to a big problem. They are in a tough spot. The most sensible thing to do would probably be to let it run while the main variant is mild, but there are economic and political costs to that, so they appear to be gambling that buying time will eventually put them in a more favorable position. The problem is, there is no guarantee that we won't end up with a more serious variant that everyone but the Chinese has some immunity to. Perhaps they are developing a more effective vaccine or plan to purchase mainstream vaccines soon. It is definitely a puzzling strategy.
