A February 2026 I&I/TIPP poll shows Vance leading the Republican nomination field with 43%, followed by Trump Jr. at 18%, Rubio and DeSantis at 5% each, and others trailing. On the Democratic side, the same poll has Harris at 38%, Newsom at 13%, Buttigieg at 5%, Ocasio-Cortez at 2%, and several others under 5%. General election hypotheticals are scarce, but sites like Race to the White House offer interactive polling averages where users can simulate matchups (e.g., Vance vs. Newsom or Harris). Betting Markets and Odds Prediction markets, which aggregate trader bets, currently favor a Republican victory overall, with Vance as the top individual pick to win the presidency: On Kalshi, Vance has a 23% chance of winning the election, Newsom 21%, Rubio 9%, and others lower. PredictIt gives Vance a 26% chance, tied with Newsom at 26%, and the Republican Party a slight edge to win the presidency. For party control, markets show Republicans with about a 55% probability of winning the election. Notable Predictions Interactive maps like 270toWin allow users to forecast electoral vote outcomes, with current simulations often leaning Republican if trends from 2024 hold. One early AI-based prediction (from a previous version of Grok) simulated a Vance vs. Harris matchup, projecting Vance winning 326 electoral votes to Harris's 212, flipping states like Minnesota and New Hampshire. Analysts note the race could tighten if Democrats unify around a strong candidate or if Trump's term faces scandals, but as of now, the GOP holds momentum from recent wins. In summary, while it's impossible to know the winner this early, JD Vance emerges as the current betting and polling favorite to become the next president, potentially extending Republican control. These dynamics will evolve with primaries starting in 2027-2028—check back closer to the election for updates.1s

I think it depends on how many seats the Dems pick up in the midterms..And what they do afterwards if they win a strong majority.. Clinton and the Republicans wound up working together to make this country functional again. Unfortunately I don't see Trump or the Dems being able to do that so we will probably have two years of chaos to finish his Presidential term.
