Large CME headed directly toward earth from X1.1 and "sympathetic" flare of 2 different sun spots. G2-3 storm on the 25th-26th Sun spots AR3614 AND AR3615 erupted simutaneously. AR3614 produced a long duration X1.1 flare with a large Halo CME headed directly at earth. [link to www.spaceweather.com (secure)] This is expected to cause a G2-G3 geomagnetic storm on the 25th or 26th. Northern Lights over the Deep South... KP index of 8 in next 24 hours! I dunno if I have ever seen a KP predicted index of 8. If it gets to 9, you can see the northn lights over Texas but the power grid is probably screwed. [link to www.spaceweather.com (secure)] Trending Now

SEVERE GEOMAGNETIC STORM--THE STRONGEST IN YEARS: As predicted, a CME struck Earth's magnetic field on March 24th (1437 UT). The impact opened a crack in our planet's magnetosphere and sparked a severe G4-class geomagnetic storm--the strongest geomagnetic storm since Sept. 2017. The timing of the CME did *not* favor observers in Europe or the United States. Instead, New Zealand got the light show:
