It would not surprise me to see Zapad come off as the usual exercise, not even getting close to NATO borders, and then a couple of weeks after it's officially over, have an attack take place on the Poland/Lithuania border carried out by hidden/bunkered forces much closer to the border that didn't even take part in Zapad.
Jeff Nyquist, Lee Wheelbarger, and Johnny Anderson have been looking at this stuff for several months at least and analyzing aerial photos/sat imaging, and what they've found has been compared to older imaging of the same places from just a few years ago, up to ten years ago in some cases, and the differences noted are very troubling.
Many, many locations along NATO borders are just "ate up" with bunkers and other underground facilities like so many anthills.
I have read both authors, especially Jeff. Presently, it seems, WW3 is in the cards. They are moving chess pieces around the global chessboard. Be ready for lots of economic pain. With that pain, we will experience social and political unrest.
If it kicks off--NATO countries will get their teeth kicked out within a few minutes of the opening attack.
Hopefully Trump will be smart enough to stand down American forces--or you will see strikes on the USA itself. It will not be contained in Europe.
Russia has been building up their hypersonic missile inventories like Santa churns out toys at the North Pole. NATO bases would be smashed to bits in the opening minutes by these new Orishnik systems--which deliver nuclear scale devastation without the nuclear collateral damage. Failing that-it goes tac-nuke quickly.
Then millions upon millions will die in the opening hours of this war once the tac-nukes fly. If these NATO countries think they can motivate their soccer fag-men to line up and enlist as they did in WWI and WWII, they are delusional. France, the UK and other NATO countries would be smashed into utter chaos very quickly. Russia would turn a wide swath of Western Ukraine into a nuclear dead zone for them--along with their capitals.
If the USA jumps in--then look for our carriers to be knocked out within a matter of hours from X-hour. Look for our logistics bases on the East coast to go up on flames. It won't be like WWII where we were the arsenal of democracy. What the USA is now, is just a ceramic painting boutique at best with a limited arsenal and hollowed out (non-existent) manufacturing base that cannot quickly replenish spent stocks as was done in WWII.
Was is Detroit that was called the "Arsenal of democracy?" --now it literally looks like Hiroshima after the atomic attack.

This is delusional thinking. Russia has no intention of starting a war with NATO--let alone make overt attacks on Poland or Lithuania. This would be madness. They would however smash these countries to bits if they provoked a war by any means. Warsaw would be turned into a smoking hole within minutes. Russia is going to move West to the Dnieper River--and possibly to Odessa... that's it. Now if NATO wants to get involved--it will be NATO who provokes and starts this war, not Russia.
