I am such a sucker for puppy rescue videos. My Freya looked like that when I took her as a medical foster; skeletal, covered with mange and ticks and recovering from being hit by a car (fractured pelvis and jaw). Now she is a fat, happy, glossy speed demon who just zooms non stop.

Rescues can be an absolute joy, but sometimes at the beginning the stress to bring them back to life & health is intense. They're always worth it, no matter the species. And they express their gratitude with love for the rest of their life.
