"On August 26, 2026, a catastrophic flash flood triggered by a glacier collapse and subsequent landslide devastated the Rasuwa and Nuwakot districts in Nepal, as well as the Gyirong Port area in Tibet, China. The disaster occurred when an ice-rock avalanche blocked the Lhende Khola river, which then failed and released a massive wall of water down the Bhote Koshi gorge around 9:00 a.m. local time."
