This makes no sense to me. During one of this pressers Trump told the press he had been taking the D-Rox amidst all of the backlash about that drug not working. Then back in October of 2020 (I think) Trump was hospitalized with Covid and publicly said he took Regeneron. Some think the Covid hospitalization was a coverup for an assassination attempt. But still, the prophylactic and getting Covid (immunity) should preclude him from considering the vax. Yet he still pushes it in spite of the deaths being reported. Color me confused about him these days.

Trump may not have developed lasting antibodies from his very brief encounter with the virus. The vaccine was already a thing before the virus was even announced. Absolutely the fuck up called this series of vaccines is Trump's legacy and he deserves to go to hell for it. But there was also the extreme political resistance he met to get anything else considered. I want an American First president but I don't think that should be Trump.

So the monoclonal antibodies that worked so awesomely against the wild strain and early variants, like Regeneron, are being phased out because they no longer work against Omicron. But still no change to the vaccine which is also based on the wild strain and also does not work against Omicron. But by all means boost the original vaccine antibodies so they can outcompete your innate immunity should you succumb to Omicron (which appears to be the reason why vaccinees are more likely to be symptomatic).
