There are a couple of interesting tidbits in this:
First, yesterday afternoon when I read the first news reports of this, there was a mention that the Mexican consulate in Philadelphia had issued a statement to Mexicans living in the area telling them how to contact the consulate if they needed assistance/help.
Second, there's a statement from the police in the linked article of:

The gunman, who has not yet been publicly identified, was killed by police, according to Pennsylvania State Police Commissioner Col. Christopher Paris.
He added authorities know "who they are and who they work for," but did not comment on the motive.
It plainly states that the gunman was killed, but who is this "they" that he refers to?
If we ever get the whole truth on this, I'm betting that it turns out to be the cops stumbling into some Mexican drug gang shit or human trafficking shit.
