My son's brother in law answered the call to Patriotic Duty Defending American Democracy in Ukraine and caught a bullet to the head this week. He served 20 years in the Middle East, retired a couple years ago, got his law degree, offered a CEO job in a veteran owned company and put it on hold to go indulge his battle addiction in Ukraine. He leaves behind a beautiful wife and 2 daughters, 2 parents, 2 sisters and 5 nieces to die for corporate profit. What's your retirement nut invested in?
18 months before war broke out in Ukraine my son went with his half-brother to Ukraine and drove Eastern Europe back roads to Berlin enjoying the local cultures, "while they're still there." His half-brother is a partner at a Jewish named investment house, $1.5 million or better to play.
The average Fox Watcher hasn't seen anything that would indicate US preplanning for war in Ukraine. Didn't see John Kerry pay the Nazis your money in 2014, either. I bet most never saw the unedited Putin's 2012 address to the American People where he called upon us to enforce our Constitution upon our lawless government. It was edited out within 6 hours.

FYI--the Ukrainian casualties now stand at 400,000 KIA --KIA alone that is. You can double that number for the wounded--70% of which are horrendous, maiming wounds and who will NOT return to the front lines.
There are literally over a couple thousand Americans fighting in Ukraine--off the books and unofficially with the US government... and those who took off (like in Jemma's post) to "get some" against the evil Russians. As for those who took off--some have known whereabouts--but the majority are operating on a ghost basis in Ukraine. Hundreds of American have been killed so far--with many, many wounded. A lot of these American killed are in anonymous mass graves dug by the Russians. Some were buried alive in the rubble of Bakhmut in basements when buildings were collapsed upon them (Russians have recorded radio pleas from them for rescue).
I met a young man at dog park a couple weeks back who went to the Kriane--and who lost a leg last year. He told me is was a complete shit-show for the Ukrainian military who have been fighting on the fly, barely trained, poorly led, poorly supported and supplied. He was lucky to get out alive. I am waiting to hear from this guy and will interview him for a magazine article.
The war is lost for Ukraine. It has been lost since last fall strategically. Right now they are waging a counter offensive that is having ZERO success and is costing them enormous casualties (30,000 KIA in the last two months now). Ukraine is scoring some pinprick attacks against Russia itself--but these are like the Nazis shooting V1 and V2 missiles at Brittan in WWII in 1945, when the war was strategically lost to them in 1942/43.
The United States and the UK are the main players in NATO who started this war--had been planning it for years, supplying Ukraine for years, egging Ukraine on for nearly 10 years. Now NATO and the west are going to lose this proxy conflict--a conflict that had a negotiated end last year... except that Boris Johnson flew in and killed off the deal at the behest of the US and Biden.
The only ones winning this conflict are corporations like Raytheon and all the other big defense contractors who are on the military industrial complex gravy train--which President Eisnehower warned us about in 1960 live on TV.
Now the main worry is thus--the US will concoct a situation in which we will enter this war directly against Russia... or Poland and Lithuania will enter Ukraine to stop the Russian juggernaut which is incrementally now moving westward, grinding up the remnants of the Ukrainian military (only 7 or 8 effective Ukrainian Brigades left now). The kill ratios for the Russians is 5 to 1 in Russia's favor--and a few months ago it was as high as 10 to 1. The war still can escalate to a nuclear conflict with the west--which would effectively and utterly destroy the USA as you know it--along with western Europe.
